Primary internet
Starlink, fiber, cable or cellular chosen around availability, reliability, cost and property needs.
Northwoods Rural Connectivity
Cassian SCS helps Northwoods owners connect the cabin, the property and the people using it. That can include Starlink, UniFi Wi-Fi, backup internet, cellular dead-zone planning, cameras, UniFi Door Access and remote support.
The Cassian Approach
Instead of starting with a shopping list, Cassian starts with how the property is used, what is unreliable today and what needs to keep working when you are away.
Starlink, fiber, cable or cellular chosen around availability, reliability, cost and property needs.
UniFi access points and wired backhaul designed for the rooms, buildings and outdoor spaces that matter.
Plan for terrestrial cellular service today and direct-to-device satellite capabilities as compatible service expands.
Cameras, local recording and remote access built on the same network instead of separate consumer systems.
Secondary WAN, power considerations and practical failover for properties where being offline creates real problems.
One local contact who can understand the property and help troubleshoot connectivity after installation.
Direct-to-Device Satellite
Satellite-connected phones do not replace a high-capacity property network. They add another communications layer outside Wi-Fi and where terrestrial towers cannot reach. Cassian can help owners understand how those layers fit together as direct-to-device service matures.
Use high-capacity fixed internet for TVs, laptops, cameras and normal property traffic.
Use UniFi to distribute that connection reliably across the property.
Use terrestrial cellular service where available when away from Wi-Fi.
Treat direct-to-device satellite as an additional mobile fallback where compatible service and sky view allow it.
Keep emergency expectations realistic: satellite availability can still vary by device, plan, terrain, trees, weather and network conditions.
UniFi Door Access
Cassian can install UniFi Door Access for a single cabin or scale a centralized access system across an entire resort. With compatible readers, authorized visitors can use supported mobile credentials stored in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for keyless entry, while owners and resort staff can manage access remotely.
UniFi Access for Resorts & Cabins
Hello to Wireless & Smart Card Access.
Stop hiding keys, recutting keys and coordinating handoffs at every turnover. UniFi Access can give a resort centralized control over cabin entry with smart cards, fobs, PINs and supported mobile credentials while keeping management in one dashboard.
Issue or revoke guest credentials without driving to the cabin
Give staff access without copying and tracking physical keys
Use smart cards, fobs, PINs or supported mobile credentials
See door activity and manage multiple cabins from one system
Build on the same UniFi network already serving Wi-Fi and cameras
It may be cheaper than you think.
For resorts already building or upgrading a UniFi network, smart access can often be phased cabin-by-cabin instead of requiring an all-at-once property overhaul. Cassian can price a single-cabin pilot first.
Conceptual cabin layout. Final reader, lock hardware, credential options and wiring depend on the door, existing network and selected UniFi Access hardware.
Resorts & Multi-Building Properties
Cassian can plan a phased network tying together internet service, fiber or Ethernet backhaul, cabin Wi-Fi, outdoor coverage, cameras, access control and alternate-WAN options.
Share the property location, current service and what needs to work better. Cassian SCS can map the most practical path forward.
